I, like Ms. Ingleby, am a midwesterner but I
hail from the intellectual metropolis of Madison, Wisconsin. Home of
the great University of Wisconsin, Madison where I recently received my
pHD in the lab of
Dr. Roberto
Coronado. Graduation is generally thought of as a good
thing but it basically means you are out of work and have to get a
life. Not wanting to go into
bicycle repair or food service (
popular options for UW Madison pHD graduates) I picked up and left my
comfy home for the Institute of Hyperexcitability. As you would expect,
Philadelphia is different from Madison but I have been adjusting just
fine with the help of my new
neighbors. Oh, better get
back to work.
